How Stories Are Made: A Celebration of Ballet
Every story begins with a first step. In ballet, it might be a first class, a familiar exercise at the barre or a sequence practised until it finally feels like your own.
For World Ballet Day on 29 October 2026, we’re taking inspiration from “How Stories Are Made” to celebrate what happens before the curtain rises: the repetition, the expression and the small moments that become part of a dancer’s story.
The story behind the movement
A performance is only one chapter. There are the early starts, the corrections, the encouragement from a teacher and the quiet satisfaction of trying again. Progress isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes it’s finding your balance, remembering a sequence or walking into class with a little more confidence.
Those moments deserve celebrating, whether you’re discovering ballet for the first time or returning to something you love.
The Lisayne x C19 edit
Our World Ballet Day edit brings together the Lisayne x C19 Kids Jacket, Kids Tshirt and Kids Black Flares, alongside the Lisayne x C19 Black Flares.
We’ve also selected the Black Long Sleeve Top, Black Fitted Tee and Black Fitted Gym Jacket to complete the edit. Think black separates, flared silhouettes and layers to make part of your own wardrobe story.
Make space for your next chapter
However ballet fits into your life, take a moment to recognise the work behind the movement. Celebrate a small breakthrough. Thank someone who encouraged you. Or give yourself permission to begin.
Here’s to the stories still being made.
This is an independent Chapter 19 celebration of ballet. Chapter 19 is not claiming official participation in or affiliation with World Ballet Day.
