Founder’s Journey: Training, Competing & Creating the Chapter 19 Collection

My all new founders collection

For the past 18 months, I’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes to build a long‑term future for Chapter 19 while completing training courses, studying and passing teaching exams, and laying the foundations for a dancewear brand that blends comfort, style, and performance.

To complicate things, in July, I made another big decision: to return to the world of competitive dancing. Since then, my days have been full of training, teaching, practicing, gym sessions, and preparing for competition — all while being a full‑time dog mum to Hugo and trying to push the next collection in the Chapter 19 series.

Rediscovering the Missing Piece

The last six months reminded me of something important: while Chapter 19 was growing as a brand, the training element was missing. Dancewear isn’t just about looking good — it has to perform under pressure. That realisation inspired me to start work on my own Founder Collection, designed to combine comfort, movement, and performance with fits that worked on and off the floor.

This collection is built for dancers, athletes, and anyone who lives in motion. It’s about creating comfy fits that work as hard in the gym and studio as they do on rest days. Everyday staples that feel effortless, but deliver when it matters.

What’s Coming This Christmas

Just in time for Christmas, we’re bringing you new pieces to add to your wish list — and to help you smash your goals in 2026. Inspired by rehearsals, competitions, and long training days, the range focuses on versatile tops, leggings and comfortable casual joggers that transition seamlessly From the practice floor to a latin outfit for sweaty practice evenings, while being versatile enough to fuel your gym session and nail everyday styling,. The goal was from performance wear to street‑ready looks. 

It’s been a true graft: sketching designs on holiday, shipping samples across the country while training, placing orders from an airport and taking early morning WhatsApp calls while on the move ( as well as late night garage sessions with the family testing fits and choosing colours) but the hard work means the collection is arriving early — ready for you to wear, train, and perform in ( and add to your Christmas wish list
